Moto Z play is an affordable version of the Moto Z. The device is made in India product which is nice. The device supports Moto Mods. Comes with a battery life of 45 hrs.
Moto Z play is a 5.5-inch display smartphone which comes with mods on the box. In terms of looks, it looks really nice. It comes along with a headset which is of a basic kind. The device is surrounded by a metallic rim which feels good. On the right side the volume rockers are provided, below there is a power button which comes with a rough finish. The placement of the buttons feels ok.
And to the bottom comes the 3.5mm audio jack and a C-type USB port. The back again completely glasses with a Motorola Logo. At the back, there is a 16MP cam which comes with laser auto focus and a dual tone flash. The camera and the flash are circled in a metal rim. We also have a front facing LED flash and a 5MP front camera. We also have a fingerprint sensor at the bottom.
On the box the device comes with only a single mode and type of mod you want is available online which is, of course, a bit expensive. Nano sim slot type is provided. The design is said to be dust and splash resistance which holds water sprinkles but doesn’t withstand when submerged in water. The device is available in white and black colors only. To snap the mods it is provided with a magnetic connector.

The screen to body ratio of the device is 69.1%. The AMOLED screen is the good thing in this device. Color Gamut is excellent. Because of the AMOLED screen, the viewing angles are really nice.

The Android running feels close to stock android one. It is already provided with a Moto Mod app and some other Moto apps other than that it is almost a stock android device. One thing you will notice about the device is even if it is having a 3510mAh battery and a 5.5-inch display it feels really light and not heavy at all which I feel like a blessing.
The weight balance is very well done on this device. The device feels very premium because of the glassy looks. The Moto says it has the Gorilla Glass on both sides but I’m not the one preferring the glass back. It is also provided with a color mode which can be adjusted. The device is running on Android 6.0.1 right now and the Motorola promised that this device will be getting android Nougat update soon.
Out of 32 GB, 23.2 GB is completely free. However, this device does support a micro sd card slot. The fingerprint sensor is really fast. But that does not take you to the home this is just a unlock button. While testing the camera I have taken a few shots which are really nice. It captures pictures very fast.
The AnTuTu benchmark score of the device is 60629 which is ok not that great. You will find One Plus 3 performs well in this case with a score of around 140288. The geek benchmark score is 792 on a single core and 2485 on the multi-core score.
The performance and the design are quite impressive, and again the mods option is really awesome and does work well. The price of the device is around Rs.24,999/- Only.
