Micromax is a home-grown brand which has tasted tremendous success and has achieved brand recognition in a very short period of time since their inception. Their mission seems to be putting a smartphone in every hand. Their specialty is making affordable and quality smartphones. Looking at their market penetration in rural and semi-urban areas, they appear to be succeeding in their mission.

This is what Micromax mobiles are all about premium looks, mid-range specifications, and affordable price. There is no 4G or a fingerprint scanner for security. But the targeted user base does not care about these ‘Premium’ features. All they want in their phones is reliability and smooth functioning. This phone has them all and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The Micromax Canvas Nitro 2 E311 is available at a price of Rs. 5,290/- in online stores. Let us take a detailed review of this device.
The Micromax Canvas Nitro 2E311 is an unabashedly plastic phone. This is entirely necessary for weight and cost management; it keeps both down. The removable back panel reveals the non-removable battery, the dual SIMs, and the microSD card slot. The phone is available in two colour combinations; Black-Silver and White-Gold. The back panel is painted to match the colour scheme of the phone. There is a speaker grill at the bottom which is made of drilled holes arranged in a pill shape.
The 13.0 megapixels camera sits at the top-left corner of the back and it is flanked by the dual-tone LED flash. The etched Micromax logo is placed further down on the back panel. At the front is the 5.0 inch IPS LCD HD display. On the top of the display are the earpiece, the proximity and light sensors and the 5 megapixels selfie camera. There are no capacitive Android navigation buttons as they are displayed on the screen. Overall, this is a beautiful looking phone.
The Micromax Canvas Nitro 2 E311 features a 5.0 inch IPS LCD HD display having a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels giving it a pixel density of 294 PPI. It is a sharp display. The wide viewing angles and the nicely saturated colours and ample brightness make this a beautiful display which is viewable even in direct sunlight.
