Huawei Smartwatch 2 comes in two styles that are classic and sports. These two were always bigger in the market. And this is our latest review on the Huawei Watch 2.
Huawei Smartwatch 2 version watch feels most sport oriented and the large also has a minute design that generally makes us feel obligated to use analog watch faces and also having those numbers on a dial that doesn’t even move well. And feels little more like a cosmetic addition. The side of the device houses two buttons. The upper button opens the app drawer or Google Assistant. While the bottom button can be customized. The entire watch body is also water resistant. So you will be able to let this watch take a splash and it will still keep working.
The only part of the body that I don’t like is the lack of an extra method of input. There are two versions of the gear Huawei 2 one is the classic edition and the sports edition both of which have the few subtle changes in their looks and feel. Even though the design of the Huawei watch did grow on us after a little while but one thing I didn’t like is the watch strap as it is not of good quality and also and feels undercut at this price point. And again you can’t find many watch straps that fit exactly into this body. The dimensions of the watch are 48.9 x 45 x 12.6mm and weigh 40grams/47 grams (classic).
Huawei Smartwatch 2 has a plastic body and the HUAWEI WATCH 2 classic has a plastic + stainless steel body.
Ø HUAWEI WATCH 2 has different strap models like Dynamic Orange (4G), Carbon Black (4G & non-4G) / Concrete Grey (non-4G)
Ø Huawei Watch 2 Classic comes in Titanium Grey (non-4G) strap
The bezel wraps around the 1.2 inches circular AMOLED display with a Ppi of 326. Bears corning Gorilla Glass 3.The screen is of good quality and there is a little to dislike about it but relying on taps and swipes to go everywhere is so Android. As mentioned already the 1.2 inches 390 x 390 AMOLED display is a good quality display and there is a very little wrong with it.
The Huawei Watch 2 is an Android Wear 2.0 watch. It bears a chipset of Qualcomm MSM8909W, 1.1 GHz. Possess a 4 GB Flash + 768 MB RAM. Has GPS + GLONASS positioning system.
Ø Bluetooth: 2.4 GHz Bluetooth 4.1 BLE + BR / EDR
Ø WiFi: 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n
The Huawei Watch 2 comes with great deal of sensors like
Ø 3-axis A + G-sensor
Ø 3-axis Gyroscope
Ø 3-axis Compass
Ø Heart Rate Sensor (PPG)
Ø Capacitive Sensor
Ø Ambient Light Sensor
Having an AMOLED screen makes it a great deal. Always onscreen options are available and the included watch faces leverage it quite well. I actually like to keep always on display. You can also raise your hand to awake. Under the surface, you got the Snapdragon. And a sim card can be installed for mobile network connectivity. The battery life is actually the brightest spot of the when it comes to Huawei watch 2,
its probably the only wearable that got a battery which consistently gives around 2 days of life. Even with many options on I get around 1.5-day battery life. It also has a power saver mode which consumes extremely low power during battery crisis. The user interface has been changed for better. You can also install the apps in the watch itself without depending much on the smartphone paired.
MAGNETIC CHARGING DOCK:
The magnetic charging Dock is a bit of elegant but charging up the watch doesn’t take too long thankfully so certain tasks like sleep monitor can be actually more possible here than on any other Android wears.
þ Impressive design
þ Long lasting Battery
þ AMOLED display
þ Improved User Interface
ý Irritating Straps

The Huawei Watch 2 is a decent device and there is plenty to like about it. However, the trend is the Android wear 2.0 should really look more sportive in order to have all those features. And it does look pretty awesome. The price of the smartwatch is around Rs. 22000/- in India.
